SPIRITUS is an exciting new chamber music initiative that seeks to bring a vibrant and engaging artistic experience to Long Island. The Latin name “spiritus” means “breath” or “spirit,” and this emphasis on “life-giving” is reflected in our dynamic programming, creative presentation, and passion for high-quality performance. Comprised of young professional classical musicians from around the world, our mission is to bring world-class chamber music performances to the StonyBrook and Setauket communities.
