Each year, Caribou County hosts in Grace the Caribou County Fair and Rodeo the first week of August.  Among the high points of the fair are the parades.  A children's parade is held on Wednesday of fair week.  Following the children's parade, popsicles are handed out to the kids and is sponsored by the Grace Chamber of Commerce.

At 5:30 PM in the evening  on both Friday and Saturday of fair week, the mainstreet of Grace is lined with spectators who have gathered to watch the main parade, which features numerous floats, bands, cheerleaders, horses, firetrucks, etc.  Those riding on the floats are generous in providing candy treats for all the young people.  The parade is always an exciting time to be in Grace.

A carnival comes each year at fair time and it keeps everyone happy with thrilling rides and games of chance.  In addition, food booths, sponsored by local organizations, are busy all week feeding the hungry fair goers.

The exhibit halls are filled with prize winning crafts, arts, foods, animals and business booths.  Area artists and photographers submit their best works as they compete for the blue ribbons.  Exhibitors may enter items in either 4-H or Open Class competition.  Animals exhibited in 4-H are kept on the grounds, groomed, fed and put through their paces, with a Livestock Sale held after the judging.  On Friday and Saturday of each fair week, a PRCA sanctioned rodeo is held.  It features both bareback and saddle bronc riding, barrel racing, calf roping, steer wrestling and of course the big event of the night, bull riding.

Other events include team roping, team penning, and branding.  A Fun Run or Walk and Horseshoe pitching contest are also offered to anyone wanting to participate.  The annual fair and rodeo also includes some terrific musical shows.  Past performers have been Doug Supernaw and Chris Ledoux.

On Saturday of each fair week, the Grace Booster Club sponsors a breakfast at the Fairgrounds.  Live entertainment for the breakfast is provided by the Bar J Wranglers.

Fair-goers may sign up for raffles, see demonstrations, make purchases, learn from the booths of the different organizations and businesses and meet their many friends and neighbors.   Yes, fair time in Grace is an exciting time.
