Celebrating Winter on the Northern Plains
Vinterfest is a month-long celebration of winter, here on the Northern Plains. The festival seeks to promote educational, recreational, and cultural heritage programming throughout central North Dakota for the public’s enjoyment. From artisan workshops to cross-country skiing, Vinterfest invites you to learn new hobbies and share in time-honored traditions.

Bring your iceskates and meet others who enjoy the outdoors.
The warming house in Lions Hillside Park will be available with hot beverages provided.

Dog Days of Winter

North Dakota Heritage Center & State Museum, 612 E Boulevard Ave, Bismarck, ND 58505, USA
Jasmyn Hatlestad, dog sledder, will be discussing the sport of dogsledding in the auditorium.
A few sled dogs will be on hand after the presentation for people to interact with, weather permitting..
