We're honoring the centuries-long tradition with our annual Octoberfest Celebration! Originally held in 1810 to celebrate the marriage of the Crown Price of Bavaria, Oktoberfest has become a 16-day festival in Germany centered around marzen-style beers. These lagers were traditionally brewed in March, lagered (or stored) in caves to keep cool through the summer, and then drank come fall. Marzens were the style of choice at the first Oktoberfest, sparking brewing inspiration for years after.
