3rd Annual Oregon Otter Beer Festival
Get ready to make a splash on April 13th! The Elakha Alliance is throwing their biggest otter-ly amazing fundraiser of the year – all in aid of bringing our adorable flippered friends back to Oregon! The Elakha Alliance is a non-profit created by tribal and conservation leaders working to restore Oregon’s sea otter population, and in the process, create a more robust and resilient marine ecosystem. In addition to enjoying flavorful craft beers, this fundraising event contributes to building community awareness regarding the significance of revitalizing our valuable nearshore marine ecosystems. This is achieved through informative talks held throughout the evening and an engaging Elakha trivia contest.
Nine local Oregon breweries have embraced the Elakha’s beer challenge, taking on the task of crafting a ‘sea otter-themed’ beer utilizing Maris Otter Malt. Each brewery is dedicated to contributing a portion of their otter beer sales to our cause! Indulge in the experience by sipping, sampling, and casting your vote for your favorite otter-inspired brew, while a panel of fantastic judges will determine the ultimate otter-beer titles. This year, attendees can also enjoy a specialty otter-themed cocktail sample from Straightaway Cocktails as a delightful bonus pour. Throughout the entire evening, guests can relish in delicious gourmet pizzas, appetizers, and desserts. Don’t forget to bring your dancing shoes as the Wild Hogs in the Woods band serenades us with toe-tapping tunes. And for an added thrill, participate in the Door Prize Raffle, Premium Raffle, and Elakha Trivia Raffle for a chance to win local artwork, gift packages, and outdoor adventures from PNW businesses!
