Join SCCF for our first-ever Nest Fest — a celebration of Sanibel and Captiva’s annual sea turtle and shorebird nesting season. With snowy plover nesting season underway, and least tern and sea turtle nesting beginning mid-April, we’re gathering to honor the return of nesting shorebirds and sea turtles to our shores.
The festivities will take place from 5-7 p.m. on April 14 at the Sanibel Community House — the evening before our sunrise sea turtle nest monitoring begins!
Nest Fest is a FREE, family-friendly event that will include activities and trivia for kids and adults, a presentation on what SCCF and our dedicated volunteers do to protect coastal wildlife, and opportunities to support our work.
Appetizers and drinks will be provided.
