Experience the beauty of spring on the mountaintop as our Victorian Show Garden comes to life with a breathtaking splendor of 20,000 tulips and the wonder of our budding natural landscape. In celebration, we welcome a variety of floral teas and cookies daily, alongside crafts, garden tours, campfires, music, cocktail demonstrations, and more.

Luzia Castañeda Art Exhibition
10am – 12pm and 3pm – 6pm
Blending her Brazilian and Spanish roots in a warm and welcoming studio setting, Luzia Castañeda debuts her first Art Exhibition on the mountaintop. Following a successful showcase at the Queens Botanical Garden last year, she revisits the theme of healing leaves and delves into the Afro-Brazilian Orixá myth of Ossanhe, inviting you to join a celebration of nature and spirituality in this immersive experience.

Dance Class: Rumba and Salsa

Emerging from Cuban influences, the vibrant salsa and romantic rumba are some of the most popular Latin dances practiced worldwide. Learn the foundational skills and polish off your steps with dance instructor Laurie Shayler.

Paint-a-Pot
12pm – 2pm
Stop by the Greenhouse and paint your own terra cotta flowerpot.

Chip and Salsa Bar
3pm – 4pm
Enjoy a light to-go afternoon snack with your family and friends. Complimentary.

History of a Cocktail

Join us in the Carriage Lounge while we create, discuss, and share a popular historic cocktail.

Tequila Cocktail Tasting

Join Mohonk's Beverage Team in an exploration of tequila and the many ways it can be used to make several perfect cocktails.*Note: Pre-registration is required with a $40 per person program fee for admittance to the tasting. Space is limited. Participants must be age 21 or over to attend.

Debuting at La Marqueta in el barrio Spanish Harlem, Allyson Briggs "La Rubia" has expanded her performances to Tavern on the Green, Lincoln Center, and San Juan, Puerto Rico. Because of her commitment to maintaining classic salsa's presence in New York City and Puerto Rico, she was awarded Taino Nation Female Entertainer of the Year 2022. Come dance to her stellar band (Fleur Seule) and their renditions of salsa hits, made famous by Celia Cruz, Hector Lavoe, Willie Colon, and more! Tonight will be an evening of primarily classic salsa in both Puerto Rican and Cuban styles, with some selections including cha cha, mambo, and rumba.
