New Albany Beltane festival

New Albany Beltane festival
Sunday, May 5, 2024 from 12:00pm to 6:00pm
The Enchanted Forest & Music Hall

Beltane is an ancient Gaelic festival, marking the halfway point between the spring equinox and the summer solstice. It's a time to honor fertility, growth, and the vibrant energy of the season. Traditionally, it's associated with fire, flowers, and fertility rites, symbolizing the union of the god and goddess, as well as the earth's fertility.

At a Beltane festival, you can expect themed food, showcasing an array of handmade crafts, jewelry, and artisanal goods, and entertainment by the Sister's of the Dancing Moon.

You might witness or take part in the Maypole dance, where ribbons are woven around a tall pole to symbolize the intertwining of male and female energies, fertility, and community unity.

Join us for the 3rd Annual Beltane festival, a joyful celebration of nature's abundance, fostering a sense of connection to the cycles of the earth and the eternal renewal of life.
