Fiber Witch Festival

Fiber Witch Festival
Saturday, Apr 20, 2024 from 9:30am to 10:00pm
oil & Trouble Studio, 58 Pulaski Street

Come to the first-ever Salem Fiber Witch Festival hosted by practicing witches in historic downtown Salem, Massachusetts, aka the Witch City!

Our Fiber Witch Market is hosted at Old Town Hall, which you may recognize from the beloved 90s movie, Hocus Pocus.

Schedule:

9:30 AM - 12:00 PM - Get Bold with Color: Intro to Intarsia with Mieka John of Salt and Stone Knits

Intarsia brings freedom to colorwork, letting you splash bold panels of color and shape wherever you please. With as many mini-skeins as you have ideas, and a little planning, you’ll be filling your knitting world with color!

In this class, we'll go in depth laying out a systematic approach to creating bobbins, reading charts, and planning out your intarsia project while learning other handy tips and tricks along the way! While this class is mainly about intarsia, you’ll also learn duplicate stitch and a small amount of stranded knitting so that you’ll be able to dive into your intarsia project armed with a variety of techniques and the knowledge of when to apply them.

8:00 PM - 10:00 PM - Fiber Coven Podcast After Party

Join us at the Toil & Trouble Dye Studio for a Fiber Witch Festival After Party hosted by The Fiber Coven Podcast! We will be recording a mini episode (with special guest, YOU!), having some crafting and chatting time, plus a sealing/closing group ritual lead by Emily and Lauren of The Fiber Coven.
